South Dakota Governor admits to shooting her own dog
#1
Kristi Noem is the Governor of South Dakota. She is possibly the candidate for VP in the up coming US election. She has just published a book where she talks of shooting her own dog. He wasn't working out as a hunting dog and she wasn't able to train him. So she took him out to a quarry and shot him. Having done that she decided to do the same to a goat they had on their farm. She killed some horses too.

There is a bit of a pattern to her behavior. If something doesn't please her, she shoots it.
Many of us with animals in our lives have had to make the sad decision to euthanize an animal.
It is done with dignity and kindness as a last act of love for an animal that is suffering.
She took young healthy animals out and shot them. She is a little scary.
It is disturbing that she is a governor. It is terrifying to think of her as a Vice President.

This deals with some other political issues, but it gives an idea of how people are reacting to the dog killer.

At 14 months Cricket really was still a puppy.

I would put it a bit stronger than that! This woman seems quite content to kill innocent animals just because they do not suit her needs. As you say, it is terrifying to think that she could become VP of the USA and should anything happen to the president she would control the nuclear button. Such a ruthless woman should never be let near any political power.

As for the dog, she could have taken him to a shelter if she really didn't want him. She didn't even kill the dog with first shot and had to fire again. Suffering was caused.

She is definitely more than a little scary and she is just across the border from my country. She already has too much power.
She could have taken the puppy to a shelter, but he displeased her, so she shot him.
You know she won't be voting for gun control. She won't be voting for any kind of laws that protect animals either.
We don't want someone like that having political power, but she is already the governor. People will still vote for her even after hearing about her shooting her puppy. Maybe that is the real scary thing. People will still vote for her.

She keeps getting worse. Not only does she defend killing her own dog, now she wants President Biden to kill his dog.

There were problems with President Biden's dog. He did bite people. The dog has been moved so he will be fine and he won't hurt anyone.
That is a little more compassionate than Kristi Noem's solution of shooting animals with problems. Cricket was just not meant to be a hunting dog.
He was young. He could have been someone's pet.

Yes, this awful woman seems obsessed with killing any dog with "problems". Biden has found a much more reasonable solution for his dog. These two people have very different attitudes towards animals.

Reaction against her is strong so it is unlikely she will be running for Vice President.

She is unbelievable. She is not seeing anything wrong with her actions. Public reaction is not tipping her off that something is wrong here.
