There was a fire in a Jasper Ave Highrise in Edmonton. The man was helped to safety, but the cat ended up jumping to safety, from the fifth floor.
He was sore, but he wasn't hurt. He was placed in foster homes. At first he wouldn't walk on the floor, but his foster families were willing to help him and he has improved. When it came time for a forever home, the 911 dispatcher took him.

It is a fitting home for a cat who survived a fire. The dispatcher must have worried about the cat. Now she gets to keep him with her and know how he is every day.
