The RSPCA shut down a puppy mill in Northern Tasmania. There were 250 labradoodles, all sick, hungry and in terrible condition.
The RSPCA agreed to drop all charges if they shut down the puppy mill and released all he dogs. It was the best outcome they could get. All the dogs were rescued. The dogs had no idea how to live as pets. They had never had toys or been for a walk.

Taking on one of these dogs would have been special. There would have been so many firsts in the dog's life. The first toy, the first walk, the first clean dog bed, the list is endless. It is sad that there are puppy mills like this. It is going to take work to shut them all down.
The best way to stop puppy mills, is to stop buying dogs from puppy mills. If people would stop buying from them, puppy mills would quit on their own.
