As the world warms up due to climate change there is an effect on animals. They are tending to be lighter. In particular reptiles are tending to be lighter.
Dark colors absorb heat from the sun. Lighter colors are cooler. As it gets warmer, animals need to keep cool to survive. One thing they can do to is adapt is lighter colors.

Some animals can actually change color. They will just maintain themselves as lighter. Other species will tend to survive better in lighter form.
However they do it, overall animals will gradually become lighter as they need to survive in our new hotter planet.
