Driver stops to rescue Armadillos trapped on the road

A mother Armadillo and her 4 babies decided to cross the road. Mom could do it, but the babies couldn't get over the curb. They were running along the road looking for a gap in the curb. It was a busy road so the situation wasn't going to end well. And then a driver stopped and helped out. He gathered the babies one by one and handed them to mom. Mom watched him and even let him touch her. When mom and babies were reunited, they continued on  their way.

That was really sweet of him to stop. They were almost certainly going to get run over.
The mom seemed to know he was helping her. It just took a few minutes to save a whole family.
I have never seen an armadillo because they don't live this far north. I have to say they are the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Maybe baby sloths are cuter, but not by much.
