Bear cubs being raised at a sanctuary

Logging activity  has destroyed the den of a black bear with young cubs. She has gone from the area. The cubs might be 8 weeks old. They have their eyes open, but they would have no chance of surviving on their own. So they are now living at Bear With Us Sanctuary. It is their hope to raise the cubs and return them to where they were born.

There is so much good happening out there that we don't know about. This sanctuary is out there doing things to help bears and have been in operation for 32 years. They have helped a lot of bears over the years. For these two cubs it means that they have a chance to live instead of starving to death in the woods.

Maybe the logging people should be more careful. The woods are the bear's home. They could wait a little longer and the bears would have left their winter dens.
This didn't need to happen.
