You read the title right. Her cat died and she couldn't bear to part with it, so she had the body freeze dried. She keeps the freeze dried cat on a shelf where she can see it and touch it.

I thought cloning a dead pet was the biggest possible denial of a pet's death. This takes it further. She has the actual dead cats body in her home. She touches it and talks to it. I can't even think of what to say about this. I know grieving can take many forms, but this doesn't seem to be a healthy one.
