Leave baby deer alone
#1
It is fawning season and deer are having babies. We might see a fawn alone, but that doesn't mean it is alone. Deer leave their babies alone for many hours. They feed them, they check on them, but they do not stay with them all the time. Rushing in to "rescue" the fawn puts it at risk. The fawn needs its mother and you can't make up for that. Also, if the deer is nearby, you might be in trouble.

Mostly we should leave deer and all other wildlife alone. What we do to help them is not helping them.
I stopped people from feeding donuts to a snapping turtle yesterday. Donuts are just not their natural diet.
It is possible that the donuts could do them harm.
In the same way, being picked up by a human can really do harm to a fawn.
Nature knows what nature needs. Leave nature alone.
Especially the fawns.
