New Zealand plans to restore 3 islands

Invasive species have destroyed the habitats of a number of New Zealand's islands. 
The country is investing over 200 million and is working with the Maori to restore these islands and bring back the native species.
This will restore natural biodiversity of the land and the waters around the land. They have already cleared some smaller islands. This is the biggest restoration undertaking to date.
