Beaver release planned for Gloucestershire

The Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and Forestry England are planning a beaver release. They are checking out sites now. 
They know the Beaver will help with drought conditions and improve biodiversity. Everywhere else Beaver have been reintroduced the results have been remarkable.
The ecosystems are brought back to health. Beaver are known to be ecosystem engineers and as such they are a keystone species.

There have been three releases in England so far and the results are amazing. Beavers were depleted from the land 400  years ago and the results have not been good. When Beavers are released now they get busy right away doing what is needed to restore the land. They manage the water systems and that seems to be key to the health of the land. Centuries of ecological damage can be repaired by a chubby rodent with a flat tail. I have great faith in natures ability to heal,m if we give it a chance.
