Woman killed by Bison in Custer State Park

Bison are a wild animal, they are a prey animal and they are very large. When you put that all together, they are dangerous to humans.

When you read the story, the couple continued to follow the Bison, getting closer with each encounter. That would have been considered a threat by the Bison.
I am sorry the woman was killed, but people are warned that Bison are dangerous.

Fortunately the Bison is going to be okay. He will be moved to a less public place. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe will be taking him in.
He can live his life safely there with no further contact with the public.

This is the best outcome we could hope for.
