Ostrich cull in BC

The fight goes on. Locally people are defending the ostriches. Various court cases are being won and lost.
Now their local MP has taken up the case.

It will eventually end up in the Supreme Court. Who knows some laws may end up being changed.
Killing the ostriches will not stop bird flu. Studying them might. We don't know if the birds have immunity to bird flu. We should find out before we do something
that can't be undone.

The birds are healthy. They are in no danger of encountering chickens of any kind. They are not part of the food chain.
Why not just leave them alone and let them be studied. At least some good could come from studying the birds.
