Yes JRTs can be a bit snappy sometimes -I know. I used to have one.
When approaching people with other dogs I always had to shout out "Is it a 'dog' or a 'b****'?" I was notorious for that phrase! My dog got on ok with females but not his own sex unfortunately!
Your boat is wonderful, and I like the log storage area on top.
We have had mainly wet weather here (well, where I live anyway) and not so cold. But damp. A stove is always welcome. It's lovely to be able to cook dinner on the stove, then sit by it in the evening with the stove-door open, as you warm your toes and read a book
