Sumatran Orangutans get canopy bridge over road
#1
Roads are a real problem for animals like orangutans. It cuts their populations into small groups. That creates genetic bottlenecks because of inbreeding.
Populations are weakened. A solution to the problem has been found. They have created rope bridges across the roads. The orangutans have used the bridge to cross the road. This reunites two populations and allows genetic diversity.

We can do this. We can fix the problems we have created with our roads. In some places rope bridges are all they need.
In some places there are wildlife tunnels and wildlife overpasses. Each road has different animals that need to cross it.
Every place we do something like this life is better for everyone. We need to do something everywhere that animals are at risk because of our roads.
