Skunks are such beautiful little creatures.
I will have to remember the above recipes as we have been "skunked' more than once.
Payne has been skunked a few times, but the worst was once a skunk got in our basement. Payne ran in there to find it and the skunk sprayed. The smell crept up through the whole house. So bad it made my eyes water.
Not to mention Payne got a good dose, came running in the house, rubbing on every piece of furniture along the way.
Trust me that smell can last a lot longer than a couple months.
I saw a friend in town [several weeks after the spraying and many, many, baths later] and she could still smell the skunk on us.
To this day [about 2 years later] hubby swears he can still smell it on his coveralls.
I think the basement still smells, I have just become immune to it.
...and no, the tomato juice has never worked for me.....
