Horrible dog thefts in China

It is clear that most people want no part of the dog meat trade. The whole thing involves criminal activity and is terribly unhygienic.   I wondered about the rabies and it seems I was right. There is a higher incidence of rabies where they eat dog meat.  They have been lucky so far, but they could easily have a major outbreak of rabies or something worse that we don't know about yet.

There is no question that it needs to be stopped. If nothing else, the thefts need to be stopped. Since most of the dogs eaten were stolen, that would end the festival right there.

The police need to do their jobs and pet owners need to hide their pets for a while.
