South Lakes Safari Zoo in Cumbria, north-west England, is about to lose its licence and be forced to close. Over the last few years almost 500 hundred animals have died. The main causes are malnutrition and improper conditions. This place should not still be running.

The owner is trying to find ways to keep the zoo going.

I find it hard to believe that this has been going on for so long and we are only just hearing about it now. Why was the zoo not investigated when a keeper was killed. The conditions were bad then. Many animals had already died. I hope something can be done to stop the cruelty and neglect before more animals die.
