Post Halloween dangers for pets
#3
A lot of our candy will be around all week. I have leftover red licorice. It is fine in small amounts, but no pet should eat that much sugar.  It is of course the chocolate that is deadly and there must be lots of that still around. If you have a dog you need an upper cupboard or a sealed tin or jar. A plastic container would not be dog proof.  This warning is the same for Christmas. Too many of our Christmas foods are bad for dogs and even poisonous. We wouldn't leave poisonous medication around so why would we be careless with chocolate. We forget that dogs can't eat it. Better to always be cautious about what we let our pets eat.
