Veterinarian Kwane Stewart spends his free time driving around looking for street people with pets. He then offers free veterinary care. 
After the recession in 2008 California was badly hit and many people became homeless. It started with him setting up a table at a soup kitchen to offer free check-ups for pets. Now he goes out and actively looks for people with pets who are homeless.
He pays for the simple costs himself and does fundraising if more expensive help is needed.

Dr. Kwane is a good guy doing a lot to help people who have very few resources.  For many homeless people their pet is the thing that keeps them going. The pet is the one that cares for them and makes them feel valued. Helping these homeless people with their pets is a tremendous act of kindness.
