Turtle gets titanium beak built by 3D printer!
#1
Here's another item for the new "News" section of the forum. This story absolutely amazed me. A turtle who couldn't eat any more without help has had a replacement beak created on a 3D printer - and is now recovering. Technology can work wonders. See http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-32780674

Yes this is wonderful! I'd heard of prosthetics being made by 3D printing, but hadn't seen the turtle beak before.
Hopefully it won't be rejected, and the turtle can return to the wild.
It's so good that they worked very hard to help him.

The 3D printers are amazing. They allow us to do incredible things.
The turtle can actually move it's jaw and it should be able to eat.

He is one lucky turtle. He can go back into the ocean and lead a full and happy life. Hopefully he will live to father many more sea turtles.
I wonder what the lady turtles will think of it.
