It seems there is a new animal rescue open that is a place I would love. Too bad it is in Minnesota. It is just a little too far away.
As the name suggests, it is for reptiles and other odd pets. There are shelters and rescues for cats and dogs. There are even rescues for rabbits and guinea pigs. Reptiles need rescuing too. Sometimes owners change their minds or they just don't know how to care for a reptile.
Reptiles don't usually do well at regular shelters. They lack the knowledge needed to care for them properly and sometimes they lack the will.
It is good that there is a shelter open now for reptiles in that area.

No doubt she will be flooded by pets that people no longer want. With any luck she can find homes for the healthy ones. A lot of the bearded dragons could easily be rehomes. Some of the fancier lizards and snakes would need special care and are more likely to end up as permanent residents.
This is such a wonderful thing. I wish her every success.
