What a devastating thing to happen! I am glad the animals are being cared for and they are being allowed to fly with their owners! I should think so after what everyone has been through! I hope missing animals are found.
It is so important to have a plan in case of fire. I used to have one when Misty lived with me, and was ready in case of an emergency. I always kept essential documents in my bag, and always put it in my room at night, then had a length of rope up there and a spare duvet cover (to push Misty into, tie her in it, then let her out the window on a rope, then climb down the rope myself. I had my boots also in my room, and a jacket.
Now my plan has fizzled out. I need to get it back.
