Oil spill in Saskatchewan=oil soaked birds
#1
There has been an oil spill in Saskatchewan and now they are finding oil soaked birds. The oil is still traveling down the river and the cleanup company is slow to respond. They have found three birds, but you know there are many more. Every day, every hour they leave a bird soaked in oil, you reduce its chances of survival.  The sparrow has already died. It never stood a chance.

I love how they call it a spill, like it was a bit of milk. It is 200,000 liters of toxic oil and chemicals. It will kill everything in its path.

I can't say I liked the attitude of the woman  animal rescue person. She plans to sit and wait for the clean-up company to bring birds to her. I would be out there searching for animals while they still have a chance at survival. She didn't want people to do that. She trusts the clean-up company.

I wonder if they can be trusted. Who pays their bill. If it is the oil company then maybe they will be tempted to lose some of the  birds.

She makes it sound like it is not an emergency and maybe there will not be too  many birds. There will be many birds. There are always many birds after a spill.  The Heron looks so sad and so hopeless.

It looks like things are getting worse. This is a later article.
