Our grand old lady gorilla Josephine had a growth on her leg and a Toronto surgeon make a call on the Toronto Zoo and operated to remove the growth. Josephine is recovering nicely.

Josephine is 44 so she is an old lady now. She has been a good mother and now a grandmother. She is one of the babies that were brought out of Africa because they were orphaned. Her son is the silverback gorilla at Cincinnati zoo and he is a fine looking male.
Now they raise orphaned babies in sanctuaries in Africa. I have spent many hours watching and being watched by the Toronto Zoo gorilla Troop. Get well soon Josephine.
