Public ignorant about factory farming
#2
Yes people are divorced from the history of their food. When they go to the supermarket, they get little square packages with "chicken" "pork" "beef" in. They look at the prices and try to buy the cheapest offer. They don't know and don't think about it.
I have been like that so I understand. Years ago when I used to buy meat for Misty. Also, although I hadthe internet then, I never encountered articles or news about factory farming.

I can't blame the people. They are also conditioned to eat meat and find it hard to think for themselves. They always ate it, their parents always ate it. They think it is unhealthy not to eat meat. They read articles where such-and-such meat is good for you....chicken livers contain so many vitamins....etc. They look on it as food, and don't know all about the history of that meal, and the horrible conditions.

Then of course, there are those who know but don't wish to think about it and carry on regardless.
