Barn fires continue to kill Ontario farm animals
#1
There are barn fires every year in Ontario. (I am sure there are many barn fires elsewhere)
This latest one resulted in the deaths of 640 pigs.

This is just part of an ongoing problem.

That is two fires one the same farm in three years. There are many more fires, but you see the news so you know about them.

I think the attitude towards the animals is part of the problem.

They don't even mention individual animals as having died. They talk about how many tons of dead animals there are.
Any plans to make barns safer are not  focusing on making them safer for animals.
Without a change in attitude and some serious changes in fire safety, animals will continue be killed by the hundreds. They are locked in to small places and have no chance to escape. Isn't it time we considered their safety.

There are suggestions out there that could help if anyone would pay attention to them.

I hate reading story after story about the death of farm animals. Isn't it time we did something?
