Australia builds a cat proof fence for a nature reserve
#1
I really didn't know where to post this. It is so big an issue.
Australia has a problem with feral cats, 2 million of them destroying native species.
How this problem is going to be resolved is a whole different area of discussion. We can look at that another time.

Right now an animal sanctuary is getting a protective cat proof fence and native species will be reintroduced. This will allow an area of biodiversity to exist. They are talking about 27 miles of fence and 250 square miles of protected land. More miles of fence will be added later.

It is an ambitious project that give some species a chance. While it doesn't solve the whole feral cat problem it is a big start to saving endangered species in one area.
