Cameroceras was one of the earliest apex predator on Earth. The shell of this giant orthocone measured about 6 m (20 ft) in length or more, which makes it the biggest carnivore of its time.
Fossils have been found in United States of America, Canada, China, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
Basilosaurus was an ancient predatory whale which was very different from any modern whale. Although it may had a tail like that of a modern whale, it's body was long, slender and rather more snake-like. Basilosaurus measured about 15 - 21 m (50 - 70 ft) in length.
Fossils of have been found in North Africa (Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia) and Southeastern United States (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee).
