Westjet no longer waiving fees for rescue dogs from the north

As a sometimes Westjet customer I am disappointed in their decision.  The planes have to fly anyhow and one dog is not going to effect a flight. Bringing a dog to a new life in the south is going to have a big effect on the dog. I hope they reconsider.

Oh I see. The planes are flying anyway, so it's not a special mission. I could have understood them starting to charge if it were.

All it is, is one seat (for the accompanying person) and space for a dog. You would think they could manage that without charging. It is hard for the rescue. Plus doing it without warning  is unfair.

I do hope something can be worked out. I wonder if a petition would help?
Otherwise the rescue operations will have to depend on donations.
