Missing Tiger found and now safe in a sanctuary
#1
Houston Texas has been on edge for the last week as a 175 pound tiger was spotted roaming the neighbourhoods.  Finally on Saturday he was safely rescued and turned over to Black Beauty Ranch. The ranch is home to a number of rescued  exotic animals. The Tiger, India, will have room to roam in a large wooded habitat.
He will be able to live as a tiger as much as possible for a former exotic pet.

As scary as it was for the people who spotted the tiger, it was much worse for the tiger. I am amazed he wasn't shot by someone. I am sure he was cute and loveable as a baby, but it doesn't end well when people try to make pets of animals like lions and tigers.   This is why they need to pass The Big Cat Public Safety Act to make it illegal to keep big cats as pets. Next time things might not end so well. Too often escaped animals are shot. India is lucky to have survived.
I hope he has a good life  at the sanctuary.
