Canada Goose going fur free!
#1
Canada Goose coats, famous for their coyote fur trimmed hoods will be going fur free. They will start by using reclaimed fur and then stop using all fur by 2022.
This announcement coincides with retailers like Macys and Holt Renfrew dropping the sale of fur from their stores.
Peta has announced that it will drop its campaign against their use of coyote fur.  Now Peta will work on them to stop using duck and goose down.

This is bigger than it looks. Canada Goose parkas are iconic. It has been assumed that a Canada Goose parka has to have a wild coyote trimmed hood.
For them to make a change, things must really be shifting away from the use of fur. In future any group that claims they can't stop using fur, will be confronted with the fact that Canada Goose has made the change. If Canada Goose can stop using fur, then no one else has any excuse to still be using fur.
Fur in fashion is dead.
