Chimps observed treating each others wounds with insects.
#1
First, what have they discovered medically that we don't know. What insect are they using and what effect does it have?
Also, many scientists don't believe in animal empathy and the willingness of animals to help others. Clearly the chimps have been doing first aid on themselves. That has been accepted for years. Now they have been observed to do the same treatments to other chimps.

Animals have been observed to do kind, helpful things to other animals. People who do not believe that, are letting preconceived ideas color their thinking. They see what they expect to see.
Chimps practice first aid on other chimps.
I want to know how good the first aid is. It will be amazing if the chimps have found something that really works. How did they figure it out?
Chimps are smart. Maybe they have observed something that we missed. I want to know more about this.
