4,000 Beagles rescued

The Envigo  breeding facility produces beagles to be used in labs. They have been found to have over 70 animal welfare violations.  They have agreed to close the facility and release the dogs to animal rescue groups. Many groups will be involved in the rescue. The goal is to get pregnant dogs and dogs with puppies out of the facility first. Then all of the remaining  dogs will be taken in by various groups and homes will be found for them.

It is a big victory. These dogs were bred to be used in research facilities. They had horrible futures ahead of them and now they will live out their lives in loving homes. It is worth fighting for animals. Sometimes we win the fight. Envigo is not just surrendering its dogs, it will not be breeding any more dogs.
Four Thousand beagles will be rescued right now, but many more will never be born to face life as a lab specimen.
