New York just signed the New York Cruelty-Free Act to ban the testing of cosmetics on animals. It is due to go into effect in Jan 2023.
They are the tenth state to do this, following Virginia, California, Louisiana, New Jersey, Maine, Hawaii, Nevada, Illinois and Maryland.
The country now needs Congress to pass the Cruelty-Free Act so that the ban will cover all states. The bill was introduced in December 2021.

The testing of cosmetics is particularly cruel. It also has no justification. It is not life saving medical research. It is for a new color of eye shadow or perfume scent.
No animal should suffer for something so trivial.
Until cosmetic testing is banned everywhere we can help by only buying cruelty free products.
I like to support companies that have never tested on animals.
Whatever you choose to do, as long as they are not tested on animals now you are helping to make a statement.
