Canada bans testing of cosmetics on animals
#1
Finally!!!!
Canada has announced that testing of cosmetics on animals is no longer allowed.
Admittedly many companies had already made the change, but this is official. It effects the import of cosmetics that come from places that still use animals for testing.

This reflects a change in our thinking about product safety. We recognize that testing on animals is no guarantee that the products are safe for humans.
We also don't want to be responsible for the deliberate animal cruelty involved in animal testing.
Even if it is mostly symbolic, it is important that we make a public stand against animal testing.
It also aligns us with the EU and other places that have banned animal testing of cosmetics. That could open up markets for Canadian products.

Everyone wins, especially the animals that will no longer be made to suffer needlessly.
