Pets rescued after evacuation in Iceland

Because of the possibility of a volcanic eruption, the Icelandic town Grindavik was evacuated. They were given little time before they had to leave. Some pets were left behind at first. Rescuers have gone back in and brought out pets and reunited them with their people.

Sadly some cats are still out there and they are in danger. Natural disasters are a great danger to pets. Wild animals seem to know when to flee. Our pets are too domesticated to know they should run.
