Tampa Zoo prepares for Hurricane Milton
#1
The clean-up for Hurricane Helene is far from over and now Hurricane Milton is about to make landfall as a category 5.
Tampa Zoo has been through hurricanes before and has done some serious planning and actual preparing. Many animals have hurricane proof housing.
Smaller animals are being moved to safe quarters. A team of twelve will stay with the zoo when the hurricane hits.

The team of twelve that is staying with the zoo is well thought out. They will have people from animal care, a vet, a horticulturist, maintenance and a medic.
That should cover everything. It is going to be a rough time, but they can do it.
They are also prepared to help any Manatees  that get into trouble. Storm surges can wash them inland and leave them stranded.

Wildlife that survived Hurricane Helene is about to be hit again, only worse.
I wonder what happens to the sea turtles in the area? Do they get washed ashore and who rescues them.
