50 Hippos die of Anthrax at Virunga National Park in

Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo has worked to increase its Hippos. The numbers dropped from 20,000 to  few hundred 2006. 
The Hippos  have been increased to over 1200. Now suddenly dead Hippos are being found along the river that borders Uganda. So far over 50 dead hippos have been found, and other animals. The cause has been determined to be Anthrax. It is unclear  where the anthrax is coming from. Anthrax is a deadly, naturally occurring bacteria.

It is bad that it is Anthrax. They don't know the source so animals could continue to die. Anthrax can spread so other animals could be at risk and the human population as well.
